Will Tomorrow Ever Come?
04:20
|
|||
An old man lying on a park bench seat just a tattered black coat to warm his heart at night
rain hail shine it reall makes no difference to a man who sees many a storm why does he live like this?
A bottle of cheap wine lying on the ground below, just a drop left from the night before but he'll never know of course, cus he lives from day to day will tomorrow ever come?
Ask me questions you will get no answers cus this old man he knows not the answers himself, and this old man theres so much he will miss I've seen rich I've seen poor but noone as poor as this
and when in the cold night air he stumbles to his feet
he will stagger across the road who knows, maybe there a meal in the street, has a dog felt sympathetic and thought that tomorrow may never come
Ask this man, ask this man, will tomorrow ever come, will tomorrow ever ever come( will tomorrow ever ever come)
One of these night he may not be so lucky, the dogs and the cats and the mice and the rats may not be on his side
and one cold night the garbage man will have been, and his heart and his sole will decide that theres nothing to fill his bowl,
and deep down inside he knows that theres somewhere better to be
and its just around the corner he knows, heaven is the place to go
its a place that knows no poverty where laughter replaces the tears
Ask this man, ask this man, will tomorrow ever come, will tomorrow ever ever come he don't know
he don't know know know know know.........

Sixth Sense
03:44
|
|||
White lace cloth the candles lit, a table set for two
I'm pretending in my mind an evening just with you
and i can hear a string quartet sending love into the air
and I can feel your gentle touch but for now thats all i dare
while the world each day is spinning round and round
I wait shyly in the crowd never uttering a sound
but I feel in my heart sweet dreams they can come true ooooh
because I've got a sixth sense for you
I can see into the future and darling you're right there
I imagine the sweet aroma drifting from your hair
and I can taste your tears of sadness and make you good as new
and even though you don't know me I'm in love with you
as the world each day is spinning round and round
I peer into your eyes never utterring a sound
yet I know in my heart your the one who'll say "I do" ooooh
because I've got a sixth sense for you
but how will I tell you that I love you?
and how can I show you that I care?
and how do I say to you you're meant to be with me oooh oooh
see I've got a sixth sense for you
see I've got a sixth sense for you
yes I've got a sixth sense for you
ohh honey I've got a sixth sense for you

First True Love-Lyrics
The Autumn leaves are dicipating from the earth like my soul, an air of imminence we're drifting with the tide into a hole and its eating me alive taking it's toll
The fire in my eyes has long faded away but I can see
you're in a holding pattern searching for a friend but it's not me, so I should do what's in my heart and set you free.
Chorus
You can't see it that I'm gonna free you honey, I'm already halfway down the road to meet my first true love
You like to tell me I'm the hero in your dreams but it's not right, cus when you pull me near I should feel eternal love want to hold you tight, and its keeping me awake into the night
Chorus
you can't see it but I'm gonna free you honey, I'm already half way down the road to me my first true love
and I could show you how to love a man enough but I aint wasting time I'm on the road to meet my first true love
The Autumn leaves are dicipating from the earth like my soul, an air of imminence we're drifting with the tide into a hole
If you don't feel that special quickening in your heart then you should say, cus I can't pretend any more that I'm in love is that ok, cus we can let the curtains draw call it a day
Chorus
You can see it that I'm gonna free you honey I'm already half way down the road to meet my first true love
and I could show you how to love a man just right, I'm already half way down the road to meet my first true love
I'm on the road to meet my first true love

at the end of a busy week we pack the car
theres a little haven north it's not so far
to the little blue house waiting beneath the stars
another lazy day just chillin in the sun
lots of books n games theres no work to be done
so we stroll along the beach just having fun
we look fondly on our days at Waipu cove, a touch of country air and ocean where we can rove
its a place that has us daring to give a little more love and caring yes we cherish those sweet days at Waipu cove
oooooooh take us to Waipu cove
took a peak out through the window across the lawn
a nest of young pukekos have been born
so I watch them as they march into the dawn
we sing our favourite tunes so long into the night
and the magic in the air has helped us write
this little story bout the cove and all its sites
we look fondly on our days at Waipu cove
a touch of country air and ocean where we can rove
its a place that seems to bind us, leave our worries well behind us
yes we cherish those sweet days at Waipu cove
we'll look back on those great days at Waipu cove, a touch of country air and ocean where we could rove
its a place to show affection, channel your love in one direction
let's recall all those great days at Waipu cove
ooooooh take us to Waipu cove
take us to Waipu cove
take us to Waipu cove

I can

I was just a kid when I nursed my first guitar, I used to hide away and pick myself a bar
On rehearsal days I snuck in through the back door of the school with a guitar in hand I’m feeling quite un-cool Never sung a tune of mine before a crowd, see I had a fear that stopped me singing out aloud and
I knew that deep inside me lay a gift that was on call, I had to find the key unlock that mystery door
See I couldn’t hit a nail with a hammer, and building things with timber only made me stammer and looking down a microscope at things that didn’t make a sound just gave me time to dream of music cus I can
Joined a band playin Dixie and some blues but lacked belief that I could make it in those shoes
So plucking strings for a living was embargoed, set me up a living on the highway selling cargo but
The question still remained what might have been if I’d believed might I have made that music scene
Now I’m living in the land of the Silver fern I quenched my fears now I’m singing it’s my turn
I’ve found the key to that locked up mystery door now I’m telling stories of my life and there’ll be More. I was just a kid when I nursed my first six string now I will hide away no more cus I can sing
And I still like bending nails with a hammer, and I’m not much better working with a spanner
But I know just where I’ve been and I’m happy in my skin I’m writing music just for me cus I can Yes I'm writing music for my soul cus I can
Yes I can, I’m writing music for the world yes I can
Ohh Yes I can, yes I bloody well can Oooh ahhh ohhh yes I can

Lucky Stars
04:02
|
|||
I can stroll the banks of Lake Macquarie a place where time is in no hurry and everything sits neatly in its place
and I can pedal the shores of Rotorua, home there too no voice saying who are you ooooh
Its so strange the way it shows in my fingers and my toes that I'm just lucky eeeh eeeh eeeh and its funny how I know, this feeling grows and grows that I'm a lucky man
If they ever ask what was he, a Kiwi or an Aussie, I'll have one each way and thank my lucky stars
I'm at home in a crowd on Darling harbour can snooze alone beneath the shade of a Pohutukawa aaaahh
and I can tramp the gorges of the Waitak ranges a place I go cus not much changes the only sound is the breeze from my own lips
strange the way it shows in my fingers and my toes that I'm just lucky eeeh eeeh eeeh and its funny how I know, this feeling grows and grows that I'm a lucky man
If they ever ask what was he, a Kiwi or an Aussie, I'll have one each way and thank my lucky stars
I'll never be a true Kiwi theres a kangaroo in side of me
I may not cheer the Waratahs its no big deal I'll just thank my lucky stars
Strolled the banks of Lake Macquarie rest my soul no haste no flurry
where everything sits neatly in its place
and I can ski the slopes of Ruapehu, Kosciuszko or the Hutt any one will do ooooh
its so strange the way it shows in my fingers and my toes that I'm damned lucky eeeh eeeh eeeh and its funny how i know, this feeling grows and grows lord I'm a lucky man
If they ever ask what was he, a Kiwi or an Aussie, II will wink and smile and thank my lucky stars
yes if they care to ask what was he a kiwi or an aussie I'll just look above and thank my lucky stars yes I can ease my mind and thank my lucky stars

Beautiful Day
03:59
|
|||
Did you ever wake up and feel just a little bit stressed
cus the kids are fighting and their rooms are a hell of a mess
They're calling each other names and its always the other who's wrong and its inspired me to tell this story just to help me along
There are chores to be done and the kids, they're nowhere in sight, and when you finally catch them you're the ref in another big fight
It's gonna be a beautiful day, if I can keep insanity away
It's gonna be a wonderful day while they're spending every dime of my pay
and just when I couldn't care less, we love you daddy you're the best and I can see it's a beautiful day and I wouldn't have it any other way
Did you ever wake up and feel that life is a trial when there's toys all through the house and the kids seem to live in denial
and did you ever drive off to work feeling a little unloved
as you're tearing your hair out and searching the heavens above
It's gonna be a beautiful day If I can keep insanity away
It's gonna be a magical day while they're spending every dime of my pay, and just when I don't give a damn, we love you daddy you're the man, now I see its a beautiful day and I wouldn't have it any other way
now if you haven't yet decided, who's David or Goliath in the battle of "its all about me"
well don't despair it won't get you anywhere, its the way God planned it to be
well did you ever wake up and feel just a little bit stressed?
cus the kids are fighting and their rooms are a hell of a mess
It's gonna be a beautiful day I'm gonna keep insanity away
It's gonna be a fabulous day, you bet it is hey hey hey cus just when it all seemed a mess, we love you daddy you're the best, and I feel its a beautiful day and I wouldn't have it any other way
I'm gonna have a beautiful, fabulous wonderful day hey
a beautiful magical wonderful day
a beautiful fabulous wonderful wonderful day
I'm gonna have a beautiful fabulous magical wonderful day
a beautiful day

No Place Like Home
04:38
|
|||
I’ve perched on the cliff tops to the Celtic in Wales and I weaved the highlands of Mckinley
And down a glacier I’ve peered in Alaska what a tale the Swiss alps I just needed to see and
I marvelled at the sights from King Arthur’s old seat and I searched in the Loch for old Nessy and
the Pyrenees I hiked till I’s run of my feet, and in the bars of Hong Kong got real messy feeling there’s no there’s no place like home yes there’s
no there’s no place like home, there’s no better place to be
I Revelled in the relics of the old Roman baths, and I lay in Phuket by the sea as the
Bulls of Pamplona prayed on the weak, and with a dare “will you run with me? And at
Stone Henge I stared and debated the past but there’s some place that I’d rather be
yes there’s no there’s no place like home yes there’s
no there’s no place like home, there’s no better place for me
Home is the place where my heart is, it beats like a drum through my veins
Home is the place where my love is, I replenish when my confidence wanes
I drove through the hills of the island of Skye, and window shopped in Amsterdam, and from
The Eiffle Tower I watched Paris drift by, as French lassies are wooed by their man it
Reminds me there’s
no there’s no place like home yes there’s
no there’s no place like home, there’s no better place to be
yes there's no place like home and, there’s no better place to be
yes there’s nothere’s no place like home
No better place for me, there’s no place like home

Procrastination

I’m still learning about this strange old life each autonomous twist and turn
About how much it promises yet my heart still seems to yearn
I learn that each day passing by is one I might have missed
I could view the world from the sideline or tick one off my bucket list
I’m still learning about this life I live best served in moderation, that happiness is the journey and not the destination, yet the greatest gift that I received was quite a revelation, that the biggest killer of my soul was in fact procrastination
Why ohh why would I hesitate when the world is my oyster for heaven’s sake
My ohh my did I say I was bored when the earth all around me is pleading not to be ignored
My ohh my why ohh why
/
I’m still working through exactly why I exist I know there’s so much I can win, just get out of bed leap forward before the earth makes another spin
I could second guess each fork in the road which path is best to take, but my only bad decision is the one that I don’t make
I’m still learning about this life I live best served in moderation, that happiness is the journey and not the destination, yet the greatest gift that I received was quite a big sensation, that the biggest killer of my soul was in-deed procrastination
Why ohh why would I hesitate when the world is my oyster for goodness sake
My ohh my did I say I was bored when the earth all around me is calling out to be explored
My ohh my ohh why ohh why ?
My ohh my ooh why ohh why? My ohh my why ohh why? My ohh my why ohh why
